USE CASE

Lecture Transcription for Reviewable Study Material

A lecture transcript gives you text to search and revisit alongside the recording. It works best as review material: classroom acoustics, formulas and specialist vocabulary still need a careful listen.

For Students, educators and researchers working with recorded classes, seminars and talks.

Make the recording easier to review

Confirm that you have permission to record and transcribe the class. Keep the original recording, note the course and date, and listen for sections affected by distance from the microphone or room noise.

  • Use the clearest available recording.
  • Note technical terms, names and formulas before reviewing.
  • Keep the recording beside the transcript.

Select the language and output

BigTranscribe can detect speech automatically in about 100 languages, or you can review the source-language choice. Keep the original-language transcript when wording matters, or select an available translation for study support.

Choose Transcript only for written review. Captioned video is a separate output for supported video files.

Review and organize

Check names, numbers, formulas and short words against the audio. Save DOCX for editing, TXT for search, or PDF for reading. A transcript is not automatically a set of notes or a summary, so organize study material in the way that suits your course.
